UNIDO ITPO Tokyo was established in March 1981 based on an agreement between UNIDO and the Government of Japan. The mission of UNIDO ITPO Tokyo is to help developing and emerging countries as well as economies in transition in their efforts to achieve sustainable economic development by promoting foreign direct investment and technology transfer from Japan.
