LibanPack and UNIDO are introducing a new industrial packaging competition, Arab StarPack Professional, for industries and professionals in the Arab region.

An international jury of leading designers and experts in packaging, design, product design, branding, agro-food and consumer product experts will examine each submission with regards to seven key elements: functionality;  ergonomics; sustainability; design; labelling information; innovation and creativity and quality of production. 

There is also a special award for packaging solutions that reduce food losses.

The objective of Arab StarPack Professional is to increase awareness of current packaging trends in relation to marketing, functionality and sustainability in order to enable Arab industries to keep up with these global packaging trends and to comply with international standards and regulations in packaging and labelling. The ultimate objective is to improve the competitiveness of Arab products on the international level.

Winners will receive significant publicity in media across the Arab region, and are also entitled to participate in the World Packaging Organization's World Star international competition and hence gain international visibility.
