Driving investment in the transformation to a circular economy - New partnership calls for expressions of interest for projects on circular plastic packaging and textiles in developing countries

VIENNA - A partnership led by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) issued a call for expressions of interest for pilot projects aimed at accelerating the circular economy in two critical value chains of developing countries, namely textiles and garments and plastic packaging. Submissions from EU-headquartered multinational corporations (MNCs) working with their suppliers in developing countries to implement circular practices are welcomed.

UNIDO publishes International Guidelines for Industrial Parks

VIENNA, 29 November 2019 – The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has published the International Guidelines for Industrial Parks providing step-by-step advice on the planning, development and operation of industrial parks for different stakeholders, including industrial park regulators, developers, operators, tenants, partners (such as multilateral development agencies) and financial institutions.

Tunis- On the margin of the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8) in Tunis, Tunisia, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) launched a new partnership to enhance trade and investment between Japanese and African private sector businesses.
