Innovation Hub for Agribusiness Transformation (IHAT)
Innovation Hub for Agribusiness Transformation (IHAT) is a programmatic approach of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) to enhance agribusiness support services. This approach addresses the development dilemma of the ‘missing middle' in low- and middle-income countries, more specifically the ability of local agribusiness support services to localize innovation and support the scaling of local innovation.

Piloting of the first MENA Women Business Club
The Union for the Mediterranean (UfM)-labelled project “Promoting Women’s Empowerment (PWE) for Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development in the MENA Region” aims to foster a supportive environment for female entrepreneurship development by addressing key barriers like limited access to networks, partnerships, and resources. Through support networks, learning opportunities and mentorship, the initiative works to contribute to a robust ecosystem for women-led businesses and increase female workforce participation across MENA countries.
Boosting Ukraine's Capacity for 3D-Printed Prosthetics
The project endeavors to address the challenges faced by amputees in Ukraine resulting from the armed conflict, by providing 3D-printed prosthetics. The REIF aims to decarbonize the industry and transport sectors, ensure universal access to renewable energy, and boost the energy sector's innovation and competitiveness by reducing costs and increasing women's participation in the clean energy economy. The program has a significant demonstration effect on innovative financing for developing countries beyond Uruguay.

Global Quality and Standards Programme: Transforming Trade for a Sustainable Future
The Global Quality and Standards Programme (GQSP) aims to enhance international trade by reinforcing countries’ quality infrastructure (QI)institutions and strengthening the quality and standards compliance capacities of SMEs, across 11 countries.
By focusing on specific value chains, the programme supports countries in meeting stringent market requirements, fostering sustainable trade, and integrating into global value chains.
Enhancing National Ecosystems for Digital Transformation in Industry
This solution addresses the challenge of underdeveloped ecosystems in many countries, which hampers their ability to effectively harness digital transformation and Industry 4.0 technologies. Many nations lack the necessary infrastructure, stakeholder coordination (robust innovation ecosystem connectivity), and policy frameworks to support innovation at a national or sectoral level. UNIDO’s ecosystem support focuses on mapping and strengthening these systems, ensuring they are robust and capable of driving sustainable industrial development.
